At Oaktown Jerk we use high quality Beef such as Five Dot Ranch, Certified
Agnus Beef, Wagu Beef/American Style Kobe Beef, Mindful Meats and
Certified Piedmontese Beef. All of our additional ingredients are fresh and
purchased locally. The final product is both chewy and flavorful.
Head chef and owner, Randall Hughes graduated from U.C. Davis in 1999 with a
B.S. in Nutrition Science and has been cooking for over 25 years. His
inspiration for the assortment of delectable jerky recipes comes from his
travels to South East Asia and Mexico along with years of cooking experience.
"I love to cook and the kitchen is where the culinary artist in me takes over. I
was introduced to cooking in 1985 by two friends, renowned chefs Michael Isles
and Jim Moffat. It's very satisfying for me to see my customers enjoying my
Oaktown Jerk takes pride in using high quality beef and
we want our customers to be delighted with what we
consider to be the best artisan beef jerky around!
